Projects Quality Manager, East Anglia – Up to £35K
I am currently recruiting a Quality Manager for a successful food manufacturer, based in East Anglia. Ensuring all technical, legal, customer requirements are met and maintained. All goods are processed and approved for use by the factories in the correct manner and to the correct timescales to minimize disruption to production operations. This role requires some travel within the East Anglian Region.
As Projects Quality Manager you will report to the Technical Manager, with key responsibilities;
•Management of Technical audit system along with providing the business with a weekly compliance measure
•Develoving their team through identifying and fulfilling training needs, coaching and leading by example.
•Continuous improvement of systems through awareness of key technical and emerging concerns and through the application of project based techniques ensuring these are addressed in a timely manner
•Coordinating the raw material failure investigation to ensure appropriate level of investigation has been undertaken and re-occurrence is prevented.
•Responsible for management of pest control within their area
•Providing the business with a product quality audit which can be used to verify the right first time score
•Becoming first point of contact in the event of a factory floor issue and ensuring that all care is taken to protect the product and prevent a re-occurrence.
•Ensuring that the warehousing is maintained to an acceptable level of hygiene
To be considered for this position the candidate must have;
•A food related degree level or sufficient years’ experience within the role
•Ability to converse confidently on key technical issues
•Awareness of emerging technical issues
•Strong communicator and influencer
•Understanding of Technical Systems
•Understanding of key customer codes of practice
•Strong proven leadership experience of a QA or Technical Team
•Project based experience
•Ability to make decisions regarding the safety or quality of the product under pressure
•Customer facing experience
•Understanding of product and process micro requirements
•A driving Licence
•Be a trained auditor and possess a HACCP Qualification
