The Company

Do you have a natural talent for developing relationships and maximising business opportunities? Our client is an entrepreneurial food company with a reputation for high quality and innovative products. They are rapidly expanding within the branded and own label product sectors and are now looking for an Account Manager to oversee and drive category growth across a range of product areas for multiple customer accounts. They are offering 2 positions -  Wales and London.

The Role

In this fast paced and challenging role you will use your tenacity and excellent business development skills to explore new opportunities and develop key customer accounts within the food industry. In addition to managing and developing relationships with major retail clients, you’ll help develop the product offering as well as implementing marketing strategies to maximise sales. You’ll use your passion and awareness of food to develop business plans and streamline sales processes to ensure you hit your ambitious growth margins in order for the continued success of this growing company.

As an ambassador for the company you will liaise with internal colleagues as well as your high profile customer base to offer advice on suitable new products that will keep their ranges in line with current trends across number of dynamic food categories. You will also be providing product solutions that will achieve profit and margin targets whilst increasing fulfilling customer commercial needs and maintaining the company’s reputation for reliability and excellent customer service.

The Person

You will be an experienced Account Manager or Account Executive who is looking for the next step up where you can enhance your commercial career further in this dynamic, customer focused role. Previous experience of working with the retailers is advantageous in addition to account management experience within an entrepreneurial business. To succeed in this role you must be passionate about food with a high attention to detail and be well practiced at building strong relationships with a high profile customer base. First class communication and negotiation skills are also crucial as you’ll need to be at ease managing expectations and delivering effective persuasive presentations to increase profit margins. You must also have excellent project management, sales and analytical skills in order to achieve ambitious targets and keep up with the pace of this fast moving category.
