About the role
Our Shift Engineers are experts in their field and ensure our world class manufacturing plant is operational 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Working within a dedicated team, the Shift Engineer is responsible for investigating and dealing with all adjustments and breakdowns – whether operational, electrical or mechanical; and ensuring they are repaired and completed in the most effective, cost efficient and timely manner.
Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights), you will support the production cell team members to achieve their target OEE and production KPIs; and work to ensure there is minimal downtime of the production lines.
With recognised electrical and mechanical engineering qualifications, you will have solid, demonstrable experience of working as a multi-skilled engineer in a manufacturing environment Ideally this experience will have been gained in a food or beverage production or FMCG facility, but provided you have hands on knowledge of manufacturing plant, we can provide industry specific training. You will be adept at fault finding and root cause analysis – both electrically and mechanically and will have worked on complex control systems and PLCs. We are also looking for you to be confident working under minimal supervision and to have a real passion for sharing information through the creation of quality engineering reports and applying good working practices. Being able to work as a team member is key and you should be familiar with the fast pace of food manufacturing and of the expectations required for the whole team.

Refresco Beverages UK based Bridgwater , Somerset, employs 850 people and we run four factories producing circa 700 million litres per annum, our target is a billion litres by the end of 2018, and we are well on target to achieve this goal. We work with all the leading UK retailers including Tesco, ASDA, Morrison's and Sainsbury to produce their private labels and with branded customers such as Innocent, Ocean Spray and Um Bongo.
Refresco floated publicly on the Euronext stock exchange in March 2015. In July 2016 we announced the acquisition of Whitlock Packaging in the US, our first foray in to the US drinks market, adding 900 million litres of drinks per annum to our production.

With shift allowances and bonuses, Shift Engineers can earn circa £40,000 per annum + benefits
