We currently have an opportunity available for an Engineering Manager to effectively lead site engineering, the maintenance teams (team of 24), and external contractors employed to service and maintain our Abattoir operation in Spalding, Lincolnshire.
 
This fantastic opportunity with give you chance to implement the group engineering strategy and develop your own site strategy programme for the site. You will be a key member of the project team in delivery of capital investment and efficiency improvements in agreed timescales
 
You will also effectively manage all site and legislative requirements for equipment, pressure systems and lifting equipment as well as providing detailed reports on asset performance and maintaining accurate maintenance records, ensuring financial controls and departmental systems and processes are followed and meet all internal / external audit requirements.
 
To be our successful Engineering Manager, you will be highly motivated, have a “can do attitude”, driven to achieve exceptional results and become a highly-valued member of the senior team. 
 
A degree/HND or equivalent in an Engineering related subject is essential combined with previous engineering experience of FMCG with food related manufacturing operations being advantageous. You will furthermore have a proven track record of managing large teams and diverse technical and engineering activities. Above all, you will have the ability to develop the skill within the team, have good communication skills and a proven record in development and leadership in a fast-moving environment.
 
You will also have a sound knowledge of legislative and environmental controls relating to the safe use of plant and machinery and a proven track record in management and implementation of PPM based management systems and of continuous improvement tools and techniques.
