The company is an innovative and fast growing prepared product business supplying the UK market and leading retailers with high quality products.
The purpose of the Production Team Leader is to ensure that processing, assembly and packing areas are managed in accordance with company H&S and technical policies.
You will train and support Area Controllers and Machine Operators, ensure the safe use of facilities and equipment, carry out machinery start up checks and report anomalies, ensure the safety, legality and quality of products whilst ensuring CCP’s are adhered to, management of production staff in your line/area of responsibility, attend weekly meetings with Supervisor to analyse previous week, identify areas of concern and report preventive measures, ensure efficient labour usage to meet business targets, liaise daily with Supervisors on production targets, be the first point of contact in designated area of responsibility, support and manage Process Controllers reporting any issues having negative impact to business, understand and challenge area efficiencies and set a positive team example.
We are seeking a committed and positive individual with previous experience in a mentoring, coaching or similar team/staff leading role. A background of working in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable, most ideally food/fresh produce and a holder of a First Aid Certificate is also an advantage. You will possess good communication skills, be a real team player and be able to delegate effectively.
The Production Team Leader job is based in the South East region and is paying c. £19,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. This is a night shift role working 7.30pm – 4am, however some flexibility will be required during peak times.
