Modern Dalehead – Fresh Thinking!

Dalehead is a division of Tulip Ltd, one of the largest meat processors in the UK. We operate five sites across the UK, supplying Waitrose with over 400 products, including fresh pork, bacon, sausage, cooked meats, lamb and added value products. Dalehead as a business boasts an impressive integrated supply chain, producing outdoor bred, free range organic food products for Waitrose. We are investing in innovation and are currently looking for talented people to join us on our journey to deliver our strategic plans. If you have a passion for the food industry and are looking for a great company to work for, then read on!

A vacancy has arisen for a Process Technologist based at our Linton site, this will initially be on a temporary basis with a possibility of a more permanent opportunity in the future. Working on the pork, sausage and SMC category and reporting to the Concept Manager of that category, you will manage the factory side of the NPD process from technical product handover through to post launch reviews across all areas of the category.

The successful candidate will manage the EPD trial work, proactively suggesting solutions and improvements to process as well as ensuring the operational, product development and technical teams are fully engaged and committed to delivering the critical path.
Working closely with all areas of the business you will instigate. Organise and lead all trial work as well as plan the agenda for all pre-production/launch days and proactively participate in problem solving where process considerations are identified.

People Are Our Difference!

The successful candidate will have a degree or equivalent in a related field plus relevant experience within the food industry. You will be a real foodie, passionate about process and have a proven track record with launching new products. You will have effective planning and organisational skills, be an effective communicator, able to confidently liaise with key people within Waitrose and our business, engage and influence others, be an experienced and resilient problem solver and be able to demonstrate strong IT skills.

We value our workforce and are fully committed to developing our people and allowing them to show their full potential. If you are as serious about food as we are and ready to help us make a difference, we would like to hear from you.
