Reporting to the Site Manager you will contribute to the smooth running of the department and be responsible for:
· Overseeing and monitoring the QA team’s progress and driving changes necessary to guarantee all company and legislative requirements are met including HACCP and BRC.
· Managing internal QA systems and audit schedules, maintaining documentation and compiling reports to ensure customer specifications are adhered to through all stages of development and production.
· Liaising with customers on any technical queries, providing support to resolve potential issues whilst working with internal teams including NPD, Technical and Production to minimise potential risks or complaints.
· Reviewing and evaluating factory processes in line with GMP programs, ensuring the best standards at all times whilst promoting a culture of continuous improvement across the site to maximise team and business performance.
We are looking for a talented QA Manager or QA Supervisor educated to degree level with proven experience in a quality management role within food manufacturing. Having developed an excellent technical understanding, you’ll have conducted audits and implemented systems to improve product quality in accordance with HACCP and BRC requirements.
In addition you’ll be confident and articulate with excellent analytical and problem solving skills in order to resolve issues and implement improvements in a timely manner. You must also have great team management skills coupled with the credibility to influence and support your key customer base. There may on occasion be some travel to other manufacturing sites.
