We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to join a leading provider of premium quality specialist products to food manufacturers, food service and retailers throughout the UK. With a constantly expanding portfolio and innovative approach to food, the business can provide their customers with products which are tailored to their individual needs.
As Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the quality management system and HACCP for two chilled food manufacturing sites.
You will be the main point of contact for all Customer Technologists, carry out gap analysis against all customer standards / audit protocols, including BRC, integrate changes into the QMS and implement as necessary, prepare for, lead and follow-up all audits and visits to site, implement systems and methods for driving continuous improvement in quality and food safety standards, manage internal and QMS audit programmes, manage the improvement of KPIs both internal and customer, train the QA team and key employees in food safety issues, attend customer conferences, carry out product benchmarking sessions internally and with customers and keep up to date with changes in relevant legislation and ensure changes are implemented accordingly.
You will be an extremely driven and organised individual with a strong food industry technical background and at least 3 years experience as a QA or Technical Manager. You will ideally have worked in a high-risk chilled environment and you will have UK retailer experience (M&S, ASDA, Tesco etc.) with working knowledge of M&S Integrity. You will also have the flexibility to travel as required to complete supplier audits and visits.
The Technical Manager job is based in the South Wales region and is paying £40,000 plus 3% matched pension contributions. The working hours are 40 per week, however due to the nature of the role, flexibility will be required.
