We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to work for a leading provider of premium quality specialist products to food manufacturers, food service and retailers throughout the UK. With a constantly expanding portfolio and innovative approach to food, the business can provide their customers with products which are tailored to their individual needs.
As Shift QA, you will be responsible for carrying out of day to day tasks on the factory floor to ensure all products produced are safe and legal; manufactured to standards that meet or exceed all agreed internal and external specifications.
You will ensure that all products manufactured comply with customer standards including quality, safety and legality, collate product samples for routine microbiological testing, assist in all site visits and audits, maintain a technical presence on the factory floor throughout the shift and provide technical support to production team, set the standards on the factory floor and improve upon these with production teams through coaching and knowledge transfer and ensure that the factory floor is audit ready 365 days of the year.
You will be educated to a degree standard in a food science/technology discipline and/or possess previous technical/QA food manufacturing experience. You will also ideally hold Basic Food Hygiene qualification and will be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
The Shift QA job is based in the South Wales region and is paying £18,000 plus pension contributions in line with current legislation. The working hours are Friday to Sunday, 12 hour shifts and then half day shifts during the week.
This is a fixed term contract until December 2017, however there is the potential for a permanent role depending on business requirements.
