This role is working at a purpose built BRC accredited factory for a specialist supplier of high quality products. Established for over 50 years, the business has undergone great success and now supply products to long established retailers, wholesalers, government departments and food processors.
Your role as Production Supervisor is to be responsible for maintaining product safety, quality and legality for all products within the business. You will ensure all processing equipment is ready for the start of shift, maintain the settings of equipment throughout the working day, ensure that the process is running smoothly at all times, ensure all employees are at the work place at the start times stated, ensure all personnel are trained accordingly for the job function, reporting of relevant KPI’s, actively seek feedback and monitor progress against plans, operate Good Manufacturing Practice at all times ensuring that factory procedures are followed and introduce a culture of team working by motivating and encouraging shop floor colleagues to ensure safe systems of work are incorporated into daily working practice.
We are seeking a committed, positive individual who currently has some supervisory / team leading experience from a related production role within food manufacturing – a background of working with fresh meat, poultry or halal is highly beneficial. You will possess a good working knowledge of production machinery, have excellent attention to detail, together with a good standard of numeracy and communication skills. A holder of any food safety or H&S related qualifications are also advantageous.
The Production Supervisor job is based in the North West region and is paying c. £25,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are 5am – finish (8 hours) however flexibility will be required during busy periods.
