Established over 50 years, the business has a wide ranging customer base including major retailers, national foodservice accounts, government organisations and manufacturers.
As Technical Assistant, you will be responsible for managing the technical paperwork and completed documentation and to support the QA/technical team in all areas.
You will assist with customer enquiries and requests, create and update product and raw material specifications on various computer based systems including recipes, ingredients declaration, allergen and nutritional information, log and investigate customer complaints to ascertain the cause of the complaint and respond to the customer accordingly, complete regular line checks and internal audits which include paperwork and GMP audits plus ensure all raw materials and packaging is of a high quality and is purchased only from approved suppliers.
You will be a food science / technology graduate and/or possess previous technical experience from within the food manufacturing industry. You will have excellent organisation and communication skills, a good knowledge of HACCP/qualifications and experience using customer product specifications software is desirable. You will also have good accuracy, high attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
The Technical Assistant job is based in the North West region and is paying £22,000 - £26,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday.
