The company

This is a very well-established and large produce company supplying into the UK retailers, foodservice and wholesale industries. It has a global supplier base of over 100 companies and has a state of the art storage and distribution facility based at its HQ in the South East.

The job

This role essentially manages the interface between the company and its suppliers through building excellent relationships, negotiating contracts, pricing and stock management along with working with internal departments such as sales and technical to ensure the company have the right materials at the right time, at the right quality and at the right price.

Your experience

You must have experience within a similar supply chain or related role and also have a background of working within fresh produce. In addition, you will possess strong and proactive communication skills, excellent time management, multi-tasking abilities plus be highly computer literate, especially with Excel. skills. A degree within a purchasing, supply chain or related business discipline would be ideal and it is also essential that you speak Spanish to a reasonable level.

The Supplier Management Executive role is based in the South East region and is paying c. £30,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The core working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm, however given the global nature of the business it is likely that additional hours and weekend work may be required on occasion.
