The business manufacturers high quality, tasty products which are supplied into selected UK retailers plus specialist shops and delis.
The purpose of the Quality Assurance Technician is to ensure that the site adheres to legal compliance, food safety and quality standards and KPI targets. You will support the site in the production of the highest quality products with maximum plant efficiencies and minimum wastage. Key responsibilities include maintaining the quality management system to ensure that all relevant standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP, and Customer Code of Practice) are achieved, implement food safety & quality strategies, assisting with NPD trials, carrying out product quality assessments and raw material checks plus support the awareness of the importance of food quality for all employees.
You should ideally be of graduate / HND calibre in a related discipline and have some quality assurance experience within an FMCG environment, most preferably food manufacturing. You will ideally have a good working knowledge of quality assurance principles, GMP and internal auditing plus an awareness of HACCP and BRC requirements. You will possess excellent English communication skills plus be a problem solver and have high attention to detail.
The Quality Assurance Technician role is based in the South West region and is paying c. £16,000, calculated at £8.30 per hour for a 37.5 hour week. The working hours are 6am – 2pm, Monday to Friday.
