We are seeking a talented individual to work for an international, blue-chip company who manufacture and supply their own internationally recognised branded products into major UK retailers. Throughout the years their products have shaped fascinating markets and continually delighted consumers through quality and innovation.
As Specification Technologist, you will be responsible for working together with internal and external contacts to collect, update, input, challenge and maintain the technical information on specifications and artwork. You will ensure each product formulation has an approved and finalised company format product specification.
You will advise and liaise with the Marketing department on legal, nutrition and labelling matters, generation of pack copy information for the creation of artwork, approval of pack copy and all branded artwork, maintain data in product data management and product information management system, ensure that knowledge on legislation and legal requirements is kept up to date, create a legally compliant ingredients declaration, identify and advise on any labelling non-conformances, liaise with internal and external laboratories plus transfer data from internal specifications into SAP QM system.
To be considered for the Specification Technologist job, you will ideally be educated to a degree / HND level in a food technology discipline and you will possess a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar food manufacturing technical role. You will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of food legislation, nutrition & food related issues plus possess solid IT skills. You will have high attention to detail together with strong interpersonal skills in order to liaise across different departments/customers.
The Specification Technologist job is based in the North West region and is paying £25,000. The working hours are Monday to Friday.
