The purpose of the Production Supervisor is to ensure that processing, assembly and packing areas are managed in accordance with company H&S and technical policies. You will be responsible for approximately 20 Line Operatives and will support the Production Supervisor with day to day duties such as office costings, staff rotas, etc.
You will train and support Line Operatives, ensure the safe use of facilities and equipment, carry out machinery start up checks and report anomalies, ensure the safety, legality and quality of products whilst ensuring CCP’s are adhered to, identify areas of concern and report preventive measures, ensure efficient labour usage to meet business targets, be the first point of contact in your designated area of responsibility, understand and challenge area efficiencies and set a positive team example.
We are seeking a committed and positive individual with previous food industry experience, preferably within a team/staff leading role. A background of working with fresh produce is highly desirable. You will possess good communication skills, be a real team player and be able to delegate effectively.
The Production Supervisor job is based in the South East region and is paying £21,000 - £24,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Tuesday to Saturday, 7am – 5.30pm.
