Patisserie Head Baker
My client are a leading bakery business based in West Sussex who are looking for a Production Manager with excellent experience in staff management and must have artisan experience. The candidate must be able coordinate through a number of sites and manage a process from start to finish. My client need someone who is creative and can bring new ideas into a business.
•You are encouraged to introduce new ideas and samples but products should not be put on sale that have not been agreed by a director.
•Manage teams fairly and thoughtfully ensuring efficient production, a good working environment and a strong sense of team. You are expected to motivate your team and have their respect. Be aware of the importance of communication generally and encourage open mindedness, honesty, accountability and a positive attitude in your staff.
•It is your responsibility to recruit staff and choose your team.
•You are also responsible for ensuring there are clear rotas in place detailing who is working when. It Work towards targets relating to labour costs, ingredient costs
•Train and further develop staff.
•Liaise with customers where they wish to make an out of the ordinary order.
•You have responsibilities relating to Food Safety and Health and Safety. Namely (list non exhaustive)
•Because of the importance of meeting statutory requirements you must tell a director if a member of your team refuses to carry out clear orders from you relating to them.
•You are responsible for ordering all the ingredients that you use and the pastry products that are taken from the bakery
