Working from a BRC grade ‘A’ accredited production centre, the business manufacturers a wide range of specialist prepared products. They can offer the right individual a fast-paced and rewarding working environment.
The role of the Quality Controller Trainee is to carry out with limited supervision, quality analysis and control for the production of food and to work within the factory and processing facility to perform analytical analysis and food safety/quality audits.
You will be responsible for ensuring all checks and records are carried out with specific frequency, monitoring the production processes and reporting any non-conformance, supervising clean procedure to maintain good hygiene standards, carrying out swabbing test and samples for microbiological tests, investigating complaints that may arise on site, carrying out checks on metal detectors, recording all checking results on the Quality Management System (QMS) forms and hand them to QA, collect all the Product Management System Forms (PMS) and fulfil the weekly auditing and calibrating scales and thermometers.
You will be educated to a degree level in a food science/technology related discipline and/or possess previous experience of working in a similar QA/QC role within food manufacturing. You will ideally have a good knowledge of HACCP principles and be a holder of a food hygiene certificate. To succeed in this role, you will need to be focused, have excellent time management skills, be able to work in a fast paced environment and possess high attention to detail.
The Quality Controller Trainee job is based in the London / South East region and is paying £18,000 - £20,000 depending on individual skills and previous experience. The role is working on a rotating shift pattern which will include weekends.
