Laboratory Technician - Aylesbury

Our £150m Aylesbury dairy is the largest fresh milk processing facility in the world and as we look to increase production volumes we are looking for enthusiastic, dedicated and passionate people to help drive our site forward.
We currently have a vacancy for a Laboratory Technician to join our Technical team. In this fast paced role you will perform various QA tests from the raw material to the finished products, including fat % analysis using infra-red analyser and water content using cyro-scopes. Conducting chemistry tests on water samples and microbiological testing methods on products, you will analyse and interpret the results, detecting antibiotics and testing shelf life.
To be successful in this role you will be a proactive individual who is an effective team member, with the ability and willingness to work on your own initiative. It is essential that you are able to deliver accurate results within tight and pressured timescales.
Preferably degree qualified in Microbiology or other relevant science subject, you will have previous laboratory experience ideally within the food and beverages industry.
The department operates a rotating, continental shift pattern, which includes weekends and bank holidays.
