Do you have a natural talent for developing relationships and maximising business opportunities? This growing family owned food business is a leading supplier within the foodservice & catering arenas and they are looking for an ambitious Account Manager to join their dynamic team.

The Role

Reporting to the Trade Controller you’ll be a pivotal member of this vibrant company where you'll take responsibility for generating new business and developing sales across a number of key accounts. You’ll be working closely with a variety of food businesses to provide innovative product solutions that will achieve sales targets and account opportunities for all parties.  You'll also use your passion and awareness of food to keep your customers up to date on new products and industry movements, helping to keep their category portfolios in line with new food and consumer trends. 

The Candidate

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Account or Business Development professional who has a real passion for food and experience of selling within food service or food retail.  This role would particularly suit Chefs who have crossed over into the commercial sector. Solid account management experience within the food industry is essential along with a proven track record of developing new business and providing successful food solutions. As well as outstanding communication skills you must have excellent negotiation and relationship management skills with a natural flair for influencing key decision makers.
