The role is an opportunity for a talented project manager to join a business that are very much on an upwards curve. It is very end to end, developing a cross functional project team ranging from working directly with the customer to manufacturing operations.
The business are a well established food company, but this specific role forms part of a new venture with an international partner. Due to this, you will need to employ a start up mentality to project management and be a natural problem solver. The business invest heavily in training and development and there are genuine international opportunities for the right candidate in the future.
This role involves being the project manager of a new business unit of the company. You will build a cross functional project team and be the main customer contact, as well as managing stakeholders in NPD, procurement, quality, production, engineering and finance to deliver the projects. Reporting into the director of manufacturing who is based overseas, you will also be able to deputise at a director level when required.
The successful candidate will be a strong project manager, with a capable academic background but more importantly, high levels of emotional intelligence. You will be liaising with stakeholders of differing levels of seniority both internally and externally and being able to adapt your communication style in order to deliver is essential. You are likely to come from a background of engineering, food technology or supply chain management and be confident in dealing with the major retailers, running meetings and both defining and implementing the project plan.
£50,000-£55,000 depending on experience.
