About the role:

- Establishing working relationships with the team and supporting in driving a culture of Quality Assurance

- Supporting the development and execution of their 12-month rolling Quality Management objectives to maintain compliance and protect the business

- Managing the Quality Management Systems in line with the required industry standards (BRC, HACCP, Organic)

- Supporting the delivery of up to date information to the operational management structure

- Resolving quality and food safe issues which arise, suggesting and implementing prevention procedures and practices

- Support in the delivery of quality training programs for teams

- Measure quality of chocolate and product output and engage with development to improve specifications, quality and shelf life

- Keep Senior Management abreast of internal audit issues and changes to standards, legislation and best practice

- Report on key measures such as product quality, complaints, GMP compliance and actively use these findings to drive and inform improvement

- Support the Quality Manager as required and deputise in their absence

About you:

- Bachelor’s degree in food science or similar related subject, or equivalent work experience of Quality Management

- Certified Quality Auditor would be advantageous

- Driving a culture of right first time and continuous improvement

- Working knowledge of BRC & HACCP

- Quality inspection, internal auditing and testing experience

- Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Quality Assurance

- Distribution Centre / Warehouse experience desirable
