Are you an experienced Section Manager / Production Manager in the Food Industry? Would you like to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern on Days?

We are currently recruiting for a Production / Shift Manager to join our team at Spalding in Lincolnshire.

As Production Manager you’ll lead a team and manage all aspects of the manufacturing operation for a designated shift ensuring that products are manufactured to the agreed production plan and standard. 

This role is working 12 hour shifts - 4 on 4 off.

Shifts start from 6am and will finish no later than 10pm

Main responsibilities

 

 

As Production Manager / Shift Manager you will lead, co-ordinate and prioritise activity across the shift to ensure it is producing goods in line with the agreed production plan. You will ensure your team adhere to food manufacturing, safety and quality standards at all times to safeguard the delivery of great tasting, high quality food products.

 

You’ll be focused on continuous improvement and reviewing operational trends to identify and act upon opportunities that make sustainable improvements in quality, performance and profit. You will forecast and control labour requirements both direct and indirect, to meet production programme requirements and customer expectations.

Ensuring a safe working environment is essential at all times so you’ll lead the ongoing development of the SHE culture promoting adherence to procedures within your team.

Ideal candidate

 

 

You will have previous management experience working in chilled food manufacturing in particular leading a team and resource planning in a people intensive, food manufacturing environment.

 

You will have an inquisitive and analytical nature with the ability to pull actionable insight from data to make continuous improvements.

You will have an advanced food hygiene accreditation with HACCP level 3

Certification in either yellow or green belt six sigma and IOSH level 3 would also be extremely useful.
