About the Role
You report to the Technical Operations Manager and you play a critical role in delivering the overall site quality agenda and strategy and helping the production teams and our customers to achieve their KPI's and objectives.
Working with production teams and customers you will ensure that our production practices are compliant with regulations and standards and also that products meet quality standards.
In addition you will act as the liaison between our site and our customers.
Your 'internal' stakeholders include your technical team colleagues, plus production, demand and supply chain and NPD.
Your 'external' customers are our retail and branded customers quality teams and enforcement authorities.
You will provide information on current customer technical activities such as trials, changes to standards, audit actions and also KPI data such as complaint trends.
In addition you will attend site visits and audits with customers and ensure that corrective actions are validated and improvements made. You will make sure all audit documentation and reports are completed and communicated.
You will also attend review meetings and bench marking exercises with customers providing the necessary technical information and ensure actions are completed.
You will need to have relevant educational and/or professional qualifications in food quality / hygiene disciplines. A food or science related Degree or HND is desirable.
Experience in a technical position in a food & drinks manufacturing or FMCG environment is a distinct advantage . You will need to understand and have a working knowledge of QMS / IMS procedures and processes and BRC and ISO standards and also experience of dealing with customers in and audit setting and presenting technical information to customers.
Refresco is a fast paced, highly automated environment with multiple SKU's and multiple customers and experience of similar will be an advantage.
This is a role requiring strong influencing and communication skills as you are required to work with multiple internal colleagues. You will need to be computer literate and have good project management skills too.

In the UK, Refresco Beverages UK is based Bridgwater, Somerset, employs 850 people and we run four factories. We produced 750 million litres in 2016. Our target is a billion litres by the end of 2018, and we are well on target to achieve this goal. We work with all the leading UK retailers including Tesco, ASDA, Morrison's and Sainsbury to produce their private labels and with branded customers such as Innocent, Ocean Spray and Um Bongo.
Refresco floated publicly on the Euronext stock exchange in March 2015. In July 2016 we announced the acquisition of Whitlock Packaging in the US, our first foray in to the US drinks market, adding 900 million litres of drinks per annum to our production.
Salary & Benefits
£30,000 to £35,000 per annum dependent on experience and qualifications, plus competitive bonus, company pension and benefits.
