In doing all of this, you will establish relationships with stakeholders at all levels by delivering quality products and solutions that meet our customers’ expectations.  A full role profile is available on request, however some of the key result areas you will have responsibility for include:

This is a great opportunity that will see you take a strategic and operational role in driving employee engagement in quality processes, systems and practices globally to reduce variability and increase capability.  Devro is going through a period of change, however it is also an exciting time to join us as we have recently completed a globally restructure, as well as investing over £110m in two new manufacturing sites.  You will have all of the support and direction from us that you need to succeed, with the right level of autonomy to allow you to thrive.

About you:

Due to the technical nature of the role, you will be qualified to degree level in a relevant field of Science or Engineering with a specific post graduate qualification in Quality Management.  In addition to this, you will have considerable experience in a senior QA role, setting and delivering strategy in a global manufacturing environment.

To be successful, you should also have competency and experience in food safety, ideally this will be gained from working within food or drink industry, however other complex regulated industries, such as pharmaceutical would be considered. You will be able to demonstrate a good practical working knowledge of GMPs, ISO 9001, HACCP, GDP and other relevant quality management systems and customer communications.

You will bring with you strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build solid relationships with stakeholders of all levels in diverse geographies and cultures.  You will however also have honed influencing and negotiating skills, being able to clearly articulate your stand point as required.  This could be internally with Commercial Directors and supply chain teams, or externally with quality and food safety bodies. Coaching and developing teams within a matrix management structure will be a strength of yours, as well as the ability to empower staff to fulfil their potential.

Managing multiple projects and priorities on a global scale will be the norm for you; as such you will be meticulous in your planning and hold first class time management skills.  The role demands that you are customer and commercial focused with a passion for the continuous improvement journey.
