This company began the business back in the nineties with just a number of products. These products are very popular but the company has made them niche within their market. Since opening, their specialised product range grew, they now have around 200 products within their company range. They have also opened a site in Europe to manufacture their products on a wider scale. Within the last ten years they also open a brand new site within the UK to supply their products to the retail trade. Not only improving their current products, site and gaining new customers they are also working on adding to their current line.

The Hygiene Manager's Key Responsibilities will be:
*Leading Hygiene team, ensuring that all staff work in a safe environment
*Adhering to company and legal requirements, in addition to client Code of Practices
*Resolving issues which are raised during the shift and highlighting key issues to Head of Technical/ Operations, and overseeing any project work that may be assigned to the department.
*Managing full hygiene standards within the manufacturing unit ensuring it is kept at the highest standard
*Working to agreed procedures and ensuring all documentation is in place and completed for all cleaning carried out.
*Working with Technical to ensure Cleaning Instruction cards for all areas of production are up to date and accurate, with key inspection point included.
*Coordinate hygiene schedules and labour to ensure compliance to legislation, microbiological and visual hygiene & food safety standards
*Look at ways to bring cost savings whilst maintaining efficiencies and quality.
*Managing the budget for labour, cleaning, and waste handling.
*Responsible for all training including the use of industrial chemicals used in the cleaning processes, and liaising with HR/Technical regarding external training.
*Organising shift Rota's to minimise the need for overtime to cover the cleaning schedule needs.
The Hygiene Manager's essential skills will have to be:
*Proactive and strong management skills, showing initiative and effective time management at all times.
*Experience in food manufacturing hygiene standards
*Proven knowledge of COSHH & Qualified to Food Hygiene Level 4 or similar
