A forward thinking, growing and long standing fresh/ambient food business based in London is looking to bring on board an experienced Goods in, Warehouse and Purchasing Supervisor. My client is a UK leading supplier of fresh and ambient products suppling to large retailers and the hospitality sector.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have responsibility of goods in and purchasing. You will be working in collaboration with Shift Managers to minimise downtime due to materials, accountable for the correct materials traceability from intake to factory floor. You will be working with KPI’s on a daily basis and calculate and report on supplier service levels and use this to improve efficiency of ‘goods in’ operations.
You will also be required to negotiate best prices for ingredients and packaging to deliver desired product attributes where you will be targeted.
You will have experience in operating material planning systems, very good excel skills and a flexible approach to work. You will have a ‘solution based approach’ to working and be highly organised. You must be a team player with the communication skills to match to enable you to drive business performance goals.
Working within an FMCG or pharmaceutical background is essential as is having experience in managing multiple projects. The ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment is essential whilst working to multiple deadlines.
