We currently have vacancies at our Settle Creamery for a Production and Warehouse Technician. Reporting to shift Team Leader, you will follow established processes providing day-to-day support necessary to ensure delivery of operational targets.

Key responsibilities
As a Production Technician, you will be part of a high performing department responsible for the efficient running of a state of the art filling and packaging line, to ensure the daily production plan is achieved.
Reporting to the Production Team Leader, your primary tasks will be to meet customer orders and expectations whilst achieving business objectives in terms of Quality, Line Efficiency, Waste and Cost reduction. You will actively contribute to and seek continuous improvements to achieve business plan goals.
Working cross functionally with other departments, you will actively contribute to and seek continuous improvements using lean manufacturing tools and techniques. You will be responsible for monitoring equipment performance, resolving minor breakdowns and carrying out basic maintenance, escalating to the Engineering department as appropriate.

Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need to be a proactive individual who is an effective team member with the willingness to work on your own initiative. It is essential that you are able to deliver accurate results within tight and pressured timescales.
Ideally you will have experience of an operational role within a manufacturing or logistics environment, with knowledge of lean tools. Good computer skills are required with previous use of SAP and Microsoft Office advantageous.

The role will work on a rotating shift pattern including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
