Reporting to the engineering supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within the operation of the site.  Working as part of a team providing 24-hour cover, you will drive performances under a model of TPM. With progressive training and development the company is always seeking to enhance its employees’ skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a team of engineers.

Role:

  • Fault finding during production, reacting to machine or equipment failure whilst working quickly and effectively to focus on first time fix
  • Performing planned and predicative maintenances tasks through the use of CMMS system
  • Assessing need of spare parts
  • Undertaking effective planning and prioritisation of workload where necessary
  • Operating safe isolation and reinstatement of equipment under the terms of lockout-tag out
  • Risk assessing all tasks and ensuring that work is performed safely, not endangering self or others
  • Conforming to health and safety policies, procedures and practices
  • Ensuring that resources are used to optimum effect
  • Completing and maintaining accurate, timely documentation and records, as required by the business
  • Maintaining the required standards of housekeeping and employing a clean as you go approach
  • Supporting other teams and functions as required by the business
  • Undertaking self-development activates as required by the business
  • Undertaking any other tasks or duties as required by your line manager
  • Contributing to the continued improvement processes and practices operated by the business
  • Assisting with implementation and commissioning of site projects

Person:

  • Time served apprentice or equivalent
  • Computer literate
  • Electrical biased, with 16th / 17th wiring edition regulations
  • Good PLC Knowledge in programming, fault finding and diagnosis
  • Experience in pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Mechanical attitude
  • Packaging / FMCG experience
  • Good general level of education
