A position has arisen for a Process Technologist working for an extremely passionate business which is dedicated to producing only the finest and highest quality chilled products.
As Process Technologist, you will be the key link between the development kitchen and the production line. The aim of the role is to ensure the smooth transition between factory trials and full production.
Responsibilities include scheduling and managing factory trials in line with customer and production requirements, building strong relationships between technical, production and NPD teams, understanding the production process and raising any concerns at early development stages, taking a key part in customer visits and audits, managing realistic and practical schedules for product launch, liaising with procurement to ensure all products are costed out accurately and to product specification, ensuring that operating procedures and specifications are written correctly for each new product and conducting ongoing investigations into production processes and making recommendations for improvements if necessary.
To be considered for the Process Technologist, you will be educated to a degree standard in a food science/technology discipline and have good work experience within a technical, process or NPD role in food manufacturing, ideally within chilled, high care products. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills, high attention to detail and the ability to record and interpret complex data. You will also have proficient IT skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
The Process Technologist job is based in the South East region and is paying up to £25,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours.
