Take accountability and autonomy for Industry leading results in Safety, Quality, Service, Cost and People.  To operate in conjunction with the Site Manager.

In this role the succesfull candidate will:

Lead and deliver the site change agenda through the cascade of both business and manufacturing strategy to deliver world class excellence across a range of KPI’s.

Effectively develop and deliver an operationally excellent and efficient factory in line with Hovis Ltd supply chain business requirements to achieve step change improvements across all aspects of the supply chain.

Create a strong CI and lean manufacturing culture and approach to engaging  site associates, harnessing the potential of functional colleagues.. 

Lead the functional management to engage, involve and empower our colleagues to embed a culture of continuous improvement.

Performance manage and develop the functional leadership teams - Operations, Engineering and Supply chain to drive and build effective, high performing teams across the site. Comply with HR policy and procedural compliance.

Encourage teamwork and an inclusive environment so that all employees on site are treated fairly and consistently.

Owns and reviews functional organisation structure and headcount standards, ensuring appropriate succession plans, recruitment and development plans are in place.

Ideally you will have proven delivery at a Senior Management level, and/or Manaufacturing management experience within an FMCG environment.

Relevant qualification in Operational Excellence, Supply Chain Management, Kaizen

IT literate

Good verbal and numerate skills

Financial acumen

Strong natural leader and people management skills – experience of managing large teams in an FMCG/food manufacturing environment, enabler of change, and creating a CI culture

Excellent communication skills

Experience of leading and managing teams in a unionised environment

Experience of managing change programmes in a supply chain environment

Action oriented and energetic

Ability to build effective teams

Drive for results – can push self and others to deliver outstanding results

Has a dependable Network (Internal and External) that is developed over time

Has an appetite for ongoing development of self and others
