This role is working for an award-winning importer, processer and supplier of high quality speciality products. The business is dedicated to sourcing and bringing new and innovative products to market predominantly through retail and foodservice avenues.
Reporting to the Demand Planning Manager, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining demand forecasts for products and customers using all available intelligence (e.g. EPOS, Customer Fcs). By using available customer data (e.g. sales, customer forecasts, availability & stockholding) you will create and maintain these demand forecasts for a complex product base appropriately to optimise demand forecast accuracy. In addition you will closely monitor performance of exception lines (promotions, new lines, range changes & delists) to ensure forecast is as accurate as possible, pro-actively forecast for all demand impacting events in a timely manner (E.g. Easter, Christmas, Bank Holidays) plus monitor daily sales and adjust customer forecasts as necessary to ensure supply.
You will have existing experience within the FMCG food industry and knowledge of ERP, MRP or DRP systems. Experience in using ‘Futuremaster’ planning system would be advantageous and a degree in business, logistics or related field would be preferable. In addition to this you should have excellent spoken and written communication skills, strong organisational, problem solving and numeracy skills, strong attention to detail and experience in using statistical software packages, spreadsheets, databases, Outlook and Microsoft Office suite, including Advanced Excel.
The Demand Planner job is based in the South East / Home Counties region and is paying £24,000 - £30,000. The working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours.
