A globally recognised food manufacturer is seeking a Project Engineer to join their highly successful engineering team.

The role will be incredibly diverse, and you will play in an instrumental part in all project work on site. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager and the Project Manager to ensure there is a fluid relationship between projects and maintenance.

The role will be diverse, typical responsibilities will include - planning and introducing projects on site, helping to specify and deliver project based solutions from concept through to completion - including the assessment, contract supervision and handover to maintenance. You will be tasked to ensure all new and newer existing equipment and systems are integrated into the CMMS. You will keep site drawings up to date, including equipment, services and buildings. You will also manage the approved contractors on site.

It is therefore essential that you are confident in working from a project brief, with experience in management of projects from concept to handover. Budgets will range from small up to £500,000+, therefore proven budgetary control is also important - projects will be delivered on time, to budget and right first time. You will also had experience in developing planned maintenance templates for new equipment.

Experience of using AutoCAD (LT preferential) is important for both the equipment and site drawings. In terms of industry experience food is preferential, however FMCG backgrounds will certainly be considered (pharmaceutical, chemical, packaging, processing etc.) On this you will ideally have experience in at least one of the following - civils, process equipment, production lines, vessels and site services.

The successful candidate will ideally have 3+ years project engineering experience, however my client will also consider a graduate (Engineering, Chemical or Food Processing) with some practical project engineering experience who is eager to learn and progress.

In return my client through being a fast growing global blue-chip manufacturer can offer genuine opportunities for career growth and progression, whilst offering a very competitive salary and package.
