This is a fantastic opportunity for a Receptionist to join the team in Hull on a Fixed Term contract working 19.5 hours per week, Wednesday afternoon, and all day Thursday and Friday.

Main responsibilities

This is a really busy role as you will be dealing with internal and external visitors throughout the day.  You'll need to ensure visitors are checked in correctly, completing all relevant paperwork with them if required.  This will mean liaising with security to ensure that safety procedures are adhered to at all times.

You will also manage the switchboard, putting callers through to the correct colleague on site or at another site.

As a key contact across site, you will support the co-ordination of room bookings, organising refreshments, looking after the pool car bookings and sometimes booking travel and accommodation.

You will need to ensure Reception and the meeting rooms are maintained at all times and provide general business support across various teams where required, for example ordering stationery.

Ideal candidate

You must have previous experience of working in a customer facing role.  This means you'll need fantastic customer service skills and the ability to communicate clearly, at all levels, both with internal and external customers.

A high level of IT literacy is required too, as you'll need to use some standard templates in applications within the MS Office suite.

If possible, you need to have worked on a switchboard before, answering calls and putting callers through to the correct person.

You'll need to be pragmatic, organised and have the ability to keep calm when faced with a number of different situations.

It's a great opportunity for the right person.  Not only will you be working for one of the country's leading food manufacturers, you'll also get to work for a company that really does put people at the core.
