We are seeking a talented and passionate individual to work for a leading provider of premium quality specialist products to food manufacturers, food service and retailers throughout the UK. With a constantly expanding portfolio and innovative approach to food, the business can provide their customers with products which are tailored to their individual needs.
Working as key member of the NPD team, you will be responsible for creating and gaining approval on all finished product specifications within the business. This may form the creation of documentation on retailer prescribe systems or on internal templates.
As part of this process adherence to the product’s critical path is key to ensure launches are kept within company objectives and the product is launched to a high standard and on the requested launch date. This is a customer facing role and you are expected to support the Account Managers and Technologists with presentations and customer visits.
Ideally degree educated in a food related discipline, you will possess a good food industry technical track record with experience dealing with high volume specification requirements. You will also have working knowledge UK retailer portal systems, most preferably Asda and M&S. You will have a good understanding of food labelling legislation, have high attention to detail and excellent computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
The Specifications Technologist job is based in the South Wales region and is paying £23,000 - £26,000 according to individual skills and previous experience plus pension contributions in line with current legislation. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm.
