We are seeking a talented individual to join a leading provider of premium quality products to food manufacturers, food service and retailers throughout the UK. The business has undergone significant growth due to their dedication to exceptional customer service and high-quality products.
As NPD Process Technologist, you will be the key link between the development kitchen and the production line. The aim of the role is to ensure the smooth transition between factory trials and full production.
Responsibilities will include project management of NPD briefs from concept to launch, planning, managing and reporting NPD trials, customer contact and care during development, overseeing preproduction and production launches, coordinating samples for customers, completing initial product costings, customer presentations, meeting with suppliers and carrying out competitor and market reviews.
You will ideally be educated to a degree level within a food science, food technology or related discipline and possess process NPD experience from within food manufacturing; a background of working with bakery related products is essential. You will have good working knowledge of the process from kitchen to factory, factory trials and scaling up. You may also be a food graduate with a bakery process NPD placement. To succeed in this role, you will have a great passion for food and trends, be flexible, highly organised and possess excellent communications skills.
The NPD Process Technologist job is based in the Home Counties region and is paying £20,000 - £35,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
