The business operates from a BRC Grade A facility and supply to various wholesale and retail clients. The site is under expansion with investment coming in automation and looking for a candidate that is looking to grow with the business
The purpose of the Production Supervisor is to ensure that processing, assembly and packing areas are managed in accordance with company H&S and technical policies.
You will ensure the safe use of facilities and equipment, ensure the safety, legality and quality of products whilst ensuring CCP’s are adhered to, manage, support and train production staff across the factory, identify areas of concern and report preventive measures, ensure efficient labour usage to meet business targets, liaise daily with the Production Manager on production targets, understand and challenge area efficiencies, waste and set a positive example throughout the production team.
We are seeking a committed and positive individual with previous production supervisory / team leading experience within the food manufacturing industry, most preferably in a high risk or chilled environment. You will possess a working knowledge of BRC standards (desirable) and be HACCP qualified Level 3. To succeed in this role, you will have good leadership skills, enjoy managing and developing people through positive encouragement and be results-orientated with a positive attitude to drive forward continuous improvement.
The Production Supervisor job is based in the North West region and is paying c. £20,000 - £25,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The working hours are Monday to Thursday, 7am – 3pm / 3pm – 11pm and Friday 1pm – 9pm (40 hours per week).
