Ambient food manufacturing business with sites Europe wide, bringing market leading quality products to the UK for the major retailers. Why should you apply for this role? This isn't your standard Technical role, this will be Head Office based with travel to UK Retailers and European factories. You will report direct to the Commercial Director and will be the main point of contact between European Factories and the Retailers. There is no manufacturing on site, so you will be checking documentation, labelling, specifications, Quality sheets, for all products before they are distributed to the retailers. In this role you can expect to:
- Be the technical expert with contact to major retailers

- Action audits for factories
- Update retailer specification systems
- Check labelling and packaging to internal and external standards and legislation.
- Support factories with technical advice, direction and support.

This is a company where you can have a lot of autonomy in your role, you can drive UK growth and customer service levels, and will ensure a wider Quality culture throughout the manufacturing sites. Managing relationships with major UK retailers is essential, and experience of working in a similar role in a Head Office environment would be desirable. You will be technically very strong with a breadth of product experience; this is a role where you will need to build relationships, push back and influence decisions and manage your own time and projects.
Customers include: Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury's, Iceland and Co-op here in the UK. The business is highly quality focussed and manufactures a large variety of products, which continues to expand.
