The purpose of the Packing Line Leader is to carry out daily supervision and operation of packing line(s).
You will set up lines ready for staff arrival, supervise staff and packing line to required standards, operate packing lines maintaining good output of product to meet the specification required for each consignment and customer, ensure relevant production paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner, assist the Packhouse Manager in the training of new staff as requested, prepare and produce all productivity data for analysis – this typically includes spreadsheet based formats on a daily basis, ensure line is operated within food safety parameters and liaise with and take instruction from the quality assurance team as required for product quality issues.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised, a fast learner and has previous experience of working in a warehouse, packhouse or similar environment, most ideally within food manufacturing/distribution. Any previous team leading / supervisory experience is highly desirable. You will have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst ensuring operating procedures are followed.
The Packing Line Leader job is based in the South East region and is paying £16,000 - £22,000 according to individual skills and previous experience.
