This is an exciting position working for an independently owned chilled food manufacturer. The company import and process products from all over Europe and are dedicated to creating products to the highest technical standards from their purpose-built facility.
AS QA Manager, your role will be to lead a small QA team and manage and develop QA procedures in order to ensure that products are safe, legal plus meet and exceed quality standards and customer specification.
You will coordinate technical tasks to ensure the site is audit ready at any time, coordinate and assist with BRC unannounced audit preparation, be actively involved in any external, 3rd party, customer or BRC audits, develop and maintain a framework to manage the delivery of a robust QA/QC system, keep abreast of all current technical information and legislation, coordinate and carry out internal audits, act as a HACCP team scribe to drive food safety standards within the company and deputise for the Technical Manager as required.
This role would suit an ambitious QA Supervisor or equivalent who is looking to take a step up into a management role. You will be of graduate calibre with recognised qualifications in HACCP, food hygiene and auditing plus possess extensive knowledge of the QA / technical function with a modern food manufacturing environment, ideally in high care / high risk. Good communication skills are essential and you will be able to work effectively with staff at all levels as well as external auditors, customers and suppliers.
The QA Manager job is based in the South Central / Midlands region and is paying £30,000 - £35,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. The ability to start promptly is desirable, so if you are interested in this role, then please apply today!
