You will be working for a well-established business which import fresh products from around 50 countries worldwide and pack it for a number of retail, food service and wholesale customers.
You will work as part of a busy logistics team which is the hub of the business, where you will be arranging inbound and outbound transport, duty, clearance etc. whilst also supporting the procurement team to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained and service levels fulfilled.
You will maintain and update the IT systems in a timely manner with all data and documentation relating to stock arrivals, transport information, sales, stock levels etc. and work closely with the Logistics Manager and procurement team advising of any discrepancies.
To be considered for the Logistics & Planning Assistant role, you will possess previous experience within a similar supply chain, logistics or planning role from within an FMCG environment, most preferably food manufacturing. You will ideally have good working knowledge of MRP systems and have experience organising inbound and outbound transport. You will also be proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, be an effective communicator and have good problem-solving skills.
The Logistics & Planning Assistant job is based in the South East region and is paying £20,000 - £25,000 plus discretionary bonus, 5% pension and 20 days holiday plus bank holidays. The working hours are 5 days per week including 1 day on a weekend.
