The Role 
Based within the R+D team in London and reporting into the Group Development Manager, you will be responsible for product development from idea incubation through to proto-type development and launch. This could involve raw material sourcing, factory trials and working closely with the wider technical and regulatory teams. You will need to ensure all nutritional and regulatory aspects of the product are met and carry out consumer sensory research. The technical work carried out by the lab must be overseen in relation to NPD and you will need to stay in constant contact with suppliers and manufacturers whilst following the critical path. This role will manage at least one direct report. 


Personal Profile 

•    Degree in Food Science or Science related subject 
•    Evidence of working in NPD within food and drink 
•    Comfortable and experienced in presenting to the major retailers 
•    Project management skills to deliver products on time and to budget 
•    Good technical  understanding 
•    Flexible to travel when necessary 
•    Creative thinker and strong analytical skills
