Business Development Manager
Reporting to the Head of Sales Convenience, you will be tasked to drive distribution and sales revenue of our Branded and Private Label products into the Convenience Sector. This is a varied role where you will focus on the ‘business development’ of this sector, in line with the commercial objectives and targets set. This role will be responsible for contributing to the business, through effective collaboration with the Director of Sales for Convenience Formats and GB Brand Sales, the Brand Marketing Team & the relevant internal cross functional contacts.
This is a demanding role within our commercial structure, therefore you must have a sound academic background and be an experienced Account Executive with a strong track record of success working on major retail accounts; typically a minimum of two - three years experience is to be expected in order to be able to demonstrate the breadth of skills and commercial understanding required for the role. Branded experience and experience working in the convenience sector are essential. Preference will be given to those with experience gained in a FMCG organisation, in particular food industry experience.
Analytical with excellent project management skills, you will be a concise communicator with strong interpersonal skills and strong presentation skills. The successful candidate will have experience of MS Office suite and possess excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
