Marketing Manager (Brand & Communications), Hull, in this exciting new role you will be the driver of all brand communication activities designed to deliver the brand strategy.  Working closely with the whole marketing function and our external agency partners you will develop and deliver winning strategies that engage our consumers every day, including advertising, digital, social and PR.

Key Responsibilities of a Marketing Manager (Brand & Communications)

  • Working with the Marketing Director, you will help develop a long term brand strategy to deliver the business vision.

  • Build on consumer insight to develop a communications strategy that truly engages our audience and deliver the annual communication plan that delivers the business objectives.

  • Manage the development and implementation of the annual communications plan and execution of any creative development & production required to deliver this.

  • Constantly develop understanding and thinking within the communication arena and bring new, creative ideas to the team for debate or trial.

  • Manage our roster of external agencies ensuring they are regularly reviewed and constantly challenged to deliver the best work, cost efficiently, to bring our brand essence to life.

  • Manage the digital and social team to ensure these channels are consistently building engagement levels, delighting our followers with relevant, motivating content and building advocacy.

  • Develop and maintain a set of clear brand guidelines and communicate these out to all stakeholders, internally & externally.

  • Manage the consumer services function to ensure brand tone of voice is consistent with all brand communication and support Consumer Services Manager.

  • Work alongside Shopper Marketing function to ensure brand guidelines and tone of voice are applied through all channels. 

  • Work closely with category & brand management teams to monitor performance against brand & campaign objectives, reporting to the AB board.

  • Management of the annual marketing investment budget

    Marketing Manager (Brand & Communications) Skills and Experience

    To be considered for this role you must be educated to degree level, have sound knowledge of the full marketing mix (process, tools and applications) and a proven track record built over a number of years ideally in an FMCG environment.  A strong commercial understanding and ability to lead and manage teams is essential.  Working cross functionally, speaking with both internal and external stakeholders, you will need to have excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as being extremely well organised.  You will also have the ability to analyse market, category and financial data to identify key trends and recommend creative solutions to deliver KPI’s.
