A leading Food manufacturer seeking to recruit a Food/Packaging Procurement Manager

The Role

The role of Packaging Procurement Manager has Strategic responsibility for packaging and ingredients spend, working with key suppliers to ensure that saving are made and quality is kept to the highest standard. The role include: developing strategy, leading projects and keeping the highest level of stakeholder relationships both internally & externally.

Overview of the role:

Deliver savings and manage procurement process

Negotiate supplier agreements and agree contracts across multiple suppliers

Work closely with customers to delivery key objectives

Execute category reviews

Grow internal and external stakeholder relationships from top to bottom

Develop supplier relationships and monitor supplier performances

Manage supply chain and risk across all ingredients and packaging categories reviewed

The candidate

5 - 7 years plus experience within procurement ideally gained within a food, ingredients or packaging business.

Extensive tendering and negotiation exposure

Strong commercial acumen

Experience managing multiple suppliers

Experience working closely with an end user or customer

Strong Stakeholder management

Self drive

Ability to work autonomously

Ideally CIPS qualified
