We are seeking an organised, personable and confident individual for a fast-moving business that prides itself on delivering the freshest products and exceptional customer service. Operating a 24/7 facility, the company utilises the latest production technology whilst maintaining traditional values
Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of a production facility.
You will take ownership of the production process implementing a culture of continuous improvement, ensure a safe and hygienic working environment, provide overall leadership to the production operation with a focus on building upon an effective and high-quality production facility, manage and motivate the team, identify members of the team with the ability and willingness to progress, be hands-on when required, with energy and enthusiasm to champion changes throughout the organisation, continuously improve yields and manufacturing processes and ensure production targets are met whilst still maintaining high quality standards.
To be considered for the Production Manager job, you will have experience of working in a manufacturing/production background, preferably in chilled and frozen food, and possess sound knowledge of systems of operation for achieving the stated aims. You will be a self-starter with a willingness to be hands-on when required, have a strong understanding of technical and quality aspects of food production and ideally be HACCP qualified.
The Production Manager’s job is based in the South West region and is paying £35,000 - £45,000 according to individual skills and previous experience. Due to nature to the nature of the business, a willingness to work evenings and weekends when required is essential.
