Your role as Technical Assistant is to support and advise production within the food manufacturing environment and to ensure full integration and implementation of food safety policies and procedures at all times.
You will maintain and perform all internal weekly / monthly audits, carry out technical investigations on complaints / non-conformances, monitor CCP’s, carry out raw material and finished goods inspections, manage product sampling for routine testing, maintain and update the HACCP system, maintain calibration certificates for all equipment and carry out staff training as required.
Ideally educated to a degree level in a food science or technology discipline, you will possess previous good experience from a related technical role in the food manufacturing industry, preferably high risk, chilled products such as meat or poultry. You will have excellent organisation and communication skills, high attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
The Technical Assistant job is based in the London region and is paying £26,000. The working hours are 12pm – 8pm, working 1 Saturday in 3 with the following Monday off.
