If so, my client is looking to recruit a Technical Manager to join their Chilled Food Manufacturing business based on the Devon / Somerset border.
Reporting into the Head of Technical, you will be responsible for the technical, quality and hygiene functions within this business ensuring that the factory is meeting or exceeding standards of product safety, quality and legality in a fast paced environment.
Managing a team, this role is key in understanding customer requirements and ensuring that the factory can adhere to this, setting KPI's across the business and reporting back where necessary, whilst being fully responsible for factory visits and audits. Whilst this is a Monday to Friday job, as with all technical roles, there needs to be some flexibility to allow for the nature of the business and the demands of the customers as well as suppliers.
In order to apply for this job you will ideally be educated to degree level however this isn't essential. What is essential is experience of working with BRC, working in a fast paced chilled food environment as well as working with computer systems including the major retailers.
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 plus benefits
