My client is looking for a Cost and Commercial Accountant. You will create and develop accurate product costings for both standard and actual and to complete departmental reports to deadline. 


The Role

  • Ensuring financial reporting objectives are met within deadlines
  • Create and develop accurate standard and actual costing for all products on site
  • Spend time on factory floor to gain understanding of processes and costs in order to develop accurate costing’s
  • Continually update costings through regular review 
  • To capture relevant data on an ongoing basis in order to produce accurate costing’s
  • Collate and interpret production volume and labour cost data by department
  • Development and completion of weekly gross profit by product report
  • Monthly update of expenses/overhead figures in weekly reporting template
  • Completion of weekly management accounts and group dashboard reports
  • Completion of daily gross profit reporting
  • Completion of monthly sales reports
  • Completion of capital expenditure report and requests
  • To produce ad-hoc reports as requested

The Candidate

  • You will not be considered unless you have Costing and Commercial experience
  • Have a relevant Accounting Qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) part qual will also be considered
  • Strong Excel skills
