Senior Product Developer (12 months FTC)
Driven by the ever-changing needs of their customers, our client is a long established and progressive leader in their sector delivering amazing products in line with consumer needs and the latest trends. To help them expand they need a highly talented, engaging and proactive NPD Manager who can bring delicious ideas to the table.
In this influential role you’ll be responsible for leading and engaging a small team of Product Developers, delivering key innovations projects in line with the company’s commercial strategy. You’ll also use your strong understanding of consumer needs and food trends to formulate and develop range briefs that make an impact in the market.
In this broad role you’ll work cross functionally with Technical and Commercial teams to communicate progress across the business, delivering strategic ranges and exceptional levels of service for consumers and stakeholders every time. In addition you’ll liaise with Brand teams to develop packaging solutions that clearly articulate brand vision for products, hitting the right note with customers whilst upholding food safety and legislative standards. Furthermore you’ll be nurturing supplier relationships which will enable your teams and the company as a whole to benefit from the latest innovations in technology and ingredients. By endorsing a culture of food passion throughout the business both internally and externally, you’ll provide consumers with award winning products that are great tasting, great quality and great value for money.
Suit an outstanding Innovations expert with a food related qualification and experience in similar NPD role within a dynamic retail, trading or manufacturing environment where you have delivered large scale strategic projects. You’ll have a proven track record of driving innovation where you have combined your product development and commercial skills as well as manufacturing knowledge to deliver successful product launches. You must have excellent time management and organisational skills and will enjoy planning and delivering targets through effective team management. Experience in managing category budgets is also essential along with a strong business acumen and the ability to establish internal and external networks.
