You will be working for a UK based business with over 16 years of manufacturing history. Their experience in manufacturing and delivering high quality products is well known. They are staffed by a passionate customer focused management team and a friendly, highly skilled and experienced workforce.
As Graduate Buyer, you will be a key part of a talented team where you will be heavily involved in the business and also have a great opportunity to develop and progress within the role.
Working closely with the MD on a daily basis, you will carry out duties such as building effective supplier relationships, manage the supply chain ensuring timely supplies, ensure appropriate stock levels, ensure purchasing systems are accurate and up to date, negotiating prices with both current and prospective suppliers, monitor and report on supplier performance plus produce statistical reports as required.
To be considered for the Graduate Buyer job, you will be educated to a degree level within a buying, purchasing, supply chain management or related discipline. You will have sound IT skills (including Word and Excel), be highly numerical and have good commercial acumen. Any previous experience of working in a buying role is desirable and marketing skills are also an advantage.
